Kidz on Keys exists to bring the joy of piano playing and piano performance to the young and young at heart. It is our aim to provide opportunities for aspiring artists to achieve their musical goals through providing a variety of developmental opportunities.
Our Story
Founded in 2020, Kidz on Keys started when Dawn Sands, Dion Cunningham's first piano teacher, requested he take on some of her young pianists due to the closure of her teaching studio. He agreed and took on 3 of her students.
Over 5 years later, that small group has grown to include young pianists across the islands of the Bahamas. Their successes include Royal School of Music and Trinity College of London Piano and Theory Examinations, BGCSE Music Top Students, National Arts Festival Winners and International Piano Competitions Winners.
It is our hope to expand our offerings to establish masterclasses, national competitions, grand concerts and festivals.
